We recently announced that our CEO Christopher Maloof has been appointed chair of the Benevity board of directors and that Soraya Alexander has been named CEO of Benevity effective November 1.
Our founder, Bryan de Lottinville said it best, "Chris has led Benevity through an important phase of growth and transformation, strengthening our foundation for innovation at scale and Soraya is an accomplished, people-centric leader with deep knowledge of the social impact space and a track record of creating connected communities. Her unique skills will help accelerate how we continue to best serve our clients and nonprofit partners at a time when the world needs Benevity and the work we do to be more ubiquitous than ever.”
This is a wonderfully complementary move for us: Chris will continue to support investments in our product and AI innovation from a strategic vantage point, and Soraya brings a wealth of experience building technology and capabilities that create genuine connections for organizations that matter, most recently serving as President of GoFundMe Pro and Chief Operating Officer of GoFundMe. Her exceptional client focus, strong knowledge of nonprofits and experience driving both growth and profitability in the goodness tech space makes her uniquely qualified to steward this next chapter.
